The project entails the provision of accommodation works for the Landowner as part of the N77/78 Junction Improvement Scheme. In summary: Replacing Existing Garage. Replacing Existing Septic Tank. Provision of New Driveway and yard with Drainage Infiltration Area. Ancillary works including site clearance and disposal of Asbestos and U2 material. The scheme is located approximately 4km north of Kilkenny City and is known locally as Hennebry’s Cross. The junction is formed by the National Secondary Network intersection of the N77 and the N78. In the recent past the team here at Eugene Foley Construction have worked with the NRA on road projects, the ESB and private companies on combination projects to upgrade power supplies to commercial premises and with a selection of local authorities (including grant based building work) on new, upgrade and repair works to roads, footpaths, public spaces and more. Thanks to the wide range of clients we service and our extensive experience in the civil construction sector, means that we can bring the latest construction skills and techniques to any project. This expertise results in less disruption to the day to day lives of the people in the area that the building work being undertaken may impose upon. The works entailed the laying of ESB ducting and draw pits along the length of the Bohernatonish Road from the Lidl discount store to the Community Centre at St. Fiacres Church. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic management was conducted accordingly. Works also entailed making good any excavations and reinstating road, footpaths, grass verges. Duct laying on behalf of the ESB - Bohernatounish Rd. This project involves the construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall with block work boundary wall over same. The wall formed part of the roadside boundary between a private residence and the R703 Regional Road. The works include for the provision and reinstatement as necessary of all paved and mettled areas. Work carried out by Eugene Foley Construction Limited.
